"Disorganised chaos and misdiagnosed"

About: Ealing Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Initially went to A&E with suspected wrist fracture and then followed up by two visits to the fracture clinic. Dealt with over dozen members of staff during that time, not one of whom actually addressed me with my surname and I was the only patient spoken to in this way. I might add that my surname is not difficult or that unusual. At the Fracture clinic the information board with details of the attending physicians was out of date and also showed three doctors when only one was there. None of the doctors I saw introduced themselves or had name badges etc so I have no idea who I was seen by. Had to reschedule next appointment as had been told needed CT scan first, and the date for that was later than the appointment. Took over two weeks of calling and no one picking up the phone to eventually get someone to cancel the appointment. Ended up going private and being told I had been misdiagnosed and they had missed the fracture. Most chaotic, disorganised and incompetent NHS service I have had the misfortune to experience.
