Attended dept for 3rd time in approx 6 weeks, with same problem as advised by nhs helpline.
The doctor in A&E that day was brilliant.
The doctor listened, was concerned and cared.
Really felt I was being taken seriously.
The doctor was very thorough.
I expect for this the doctor was told off for not hitting " time targets" that have been put onto these hard working doctors and nurses.
The HCA has to be one of the most patient people I know, and is caring and extremely confident in their role.
All the staff that I met in the dept were great , these 2 just stood out from the rest.
I went onto the short stay ward and the doctor (both of them) again were great as were all the staff.
My experience was overall less traumatic than I expected.
It makes me so cross when I hear other patients treat them like butler's and talk to them disrespectfully.
Without them most of us would have probably been dead ages ago!
