I think Queen Alexandra is a fantastic hospital .
At the end of September I visited my GP with a swollen abdomen and not feeling well.
After an ultra sound at Petersfield Hospital, I was referred to the consultant in Gynaecology Oncology.
I had an appointment on the 10/10/16 and then had a CT on the 13/10/16.
On the 14/10/16 the consultant phoned me and told me the results of the CT and offered surgery.
I had the surgery on the 10/11/16 which was quite extensive.
The consultant was spot on with their diagnosis and I had a huge cyst and had to be opened up down my abdomen and a full hysterectomy was performed as well as an appendectomy.
I have made a wonderful recovery and have been Discharged back To my GP.
Every member of staff in CT , Gynae Opd, Pre Op dept, A6 ward and Theatre were very kind ,informative, efficient and need a big pat on the back.
The consultant is an excellent Surgeon , with a great sense of humour and most importantly treats their Patients like human beings.
