"Excellent all round care"

About: NHS 24 University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son injured his knee, we phoned NHS 24 who contacted the hospital before we arrived.

The receptionist was friendly and highly efficient, in total we were there for about 2 hours. We were attended to by a nurse,  who was reassuring and knowledgeable. My son's leg was x-rayed, he was taken to the x-ray department and back again by a fantastic ISS porter,  sorry I missed his name.

Every single member of the team was superb. We currently have an appointment for orthopaedics. Thanks to all who attended to us.

Dear Knee Injury parent

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in the emergency department following your son’s knee injury. It is really encouraging to hear how the whole team were involved in your son’s care including reception, porters and nursing staff. Feedback is important to all staff and they will be reassured to read your comments. I will ensure that they are shared with the wider team.

I hope your son continues to make a good recovery and thank you again for sharing.

Best wishes

Lise
