"No food since Tuesday"

About: St Peter's Hospital / Accident and emergency

My daughter was admitted on Tuesday through a&e after a routine scan, she needed an emergency operation, it was cancelled, she wasn't given anything to eat, due to be operated on on Wednesday, this was again cancelled, again no food, Thursday, cancelled at 21.15 again no food was given to her, finally on Friday morning she had her operation, today she is still not allowed to eat, this is very unfair on an already fragile girl, not a happy mummy at all

We were very sorry to read of your daughter's experience at St Peter's Hospital and sincerely apologise for the stream of cancellations.

This is not the experience we would want our patients to have; unfortunately sometimes our hospitals are so busy cancellations do have to happen but cancelling someone several times in a row is not what we would expect to see.

If you would like to contact us about this specifically please get in touch with our Patient Experience Team on 01932 723553 and they would look into this in more detail for you.
