"My dignity was ignored."

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital / Accident and emergency

A sudden chest pain, rapid pulse at 5 pm, on 1/12/16. Ambulance drove me to the emergency unit in Basingstoke Hospital. Paramedics were everything I could have at this time! They left me in single room, my pulse reduced to normal, but I still had a pain. The nurse come and done ECG, and said will come again for the second one, to compare my heart function. I wait one hour , but they did not come. They took my bed to the X- ray, but the X ray people return me back. No body tell me way. The one Senior Matron come and told me to take my backs and ordered me o sit on the chair in an adjacent room and to wait for the doctor which will let me know is the blood test come back normal.

I asked why X- ray is not going to be done if have been ordered by the doctor who meet me.

The Senior Matron replaced to me that I have got many X ray done this year. I try to said the health condition can change for even on hour , and can not rely on the old X - ray , but they did not pay attention , said they have job to do. The doctor who took my case, told me the consultant in charge do not allow me to have this time X-ray on my lungs, even I am registered in chest clinic .. I was shocked , this consultant did not observed me or see me at all, and order my treatment. At 2 am other doctor send me home, and I ask for my blood test , they said is normal. Because I am a nurse, I ask for one of the test it was for level of neutrofils . I ask haw much they are, they said they have to check them, just before I ask , they told me every one single test is normal. Is fact he try to send me home as much soon is possible. I left the unit, still with pain in my chest, with out control ECG , or advice about my medication. On the reception I ask for the names of this people involved with my case , they said do not know them names, I as to have conversation with person who is senior on shift, but I have been told this person is with patient at the moment. I was not given any information for the peoples names, too do my report regarding NHS policy.

My dignity was not respected, as a patient.
