"What could have been a stressful experience was made very pleasant"

In mid-November, I had a day surgery hernia operation. This was my first operation for over 50 years and after some adverse publicity of the NHS over recent years was a little apprehensive, but could not have been more wrong! From the male nurse going off duty taking time out to show my wife and I the way to the admissions lounge, to the nurse who spent time going through the forms, the anaesthetic team and the staff who cared for me in the recovery area and back on the ward, I could not have been better cared for. The professionalism, friendliness, efficiency, cleanliness and camaraderie were very evident from everyone. What could have been a stressful experience was made very pleasant. Thank you all very much.
