I am writing to you to say thank you to the staff on the day ward at AGH as well as the

Medical Staff (Urologist and Anesthetic team), who treated my Mum

The whole team were very caring and understanding of her needs and problems.

Once they realised that she had dementia they encouraged me to stay with her both before and after the operation and enabled me to go with her to the theatre - all of which greatly reduced her anxiety.

Please could you pass on our thanks for the high standard of care, professionalism and skill they showed –which I very much appreciated.

She is now settled back in the Nursing Home and recovering well.

Many thanks to you for sharing the positive experience your mother and you had on ward 20.

We are very pleased to hear that you were encouraged to stay and support your Mum in this unfamiliar situation, which in turn reduced both of your anxieties. Your kind comments have been shared with the staff on ward 20, and the urology and anaesthetic teams.
