"Ambulatory Care"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

After a recent visit to my GP, they decided that I needed to be referred to the QE for further tests and I soon found myself in Ambulatory Care. From start to finish I was extremely impressed with the treatment that I received. The staff dealing with me were totally professional and explained everything in detail. After blood tests and a CT scan it was deemed necessary for me to have a lumbar puncture. I was rather anxious as I know that this procedure can be rather unpleasant, however the doctor that carried it out was absolutely brilliant. Hand on heart I can say I hardly felt a thing and that was purely down to them. As I was waiting for my results which had been sent to the lab I was regularly checked on by the staff and even provided with a sandwich and a cup of tea.The care I received that day was absolutely brilliant. Thank you.
