The quality of care given by all members of staff at the Centre for Integrative Care is outstanding. I have been an in-patient three times. The staff care for each patient Is exemplary.. It is a place of refuge and of healing. It has to be experienced to understand fully the service offered,
Patients, though wrapped in care, are not wrapped in cotton wool. Daily programmes are devised in such a way as to ensure all patients can participate, irrespective of physical difficulties. Programmes, are designed to encourage us, the patients, to be aware of ourselves and teach us what we can do to help ourselves. This is a positive, holistic approach which can only do good, but which requires the kind of continuity which only can be delivered and achieved within an In-patient setting.
Contact with other patients is a vital part of the in-patient experience, Individuals who feel isolated or neglected due to medical conditions the allopathic side of health care has failed to manage, discover they are not alone. Shared experiences are humbling as well as life-enhancing.
Most important of all, recipients of the wealth of experience and practice possessed by the staff, without exception, leave the Centre feeling not only physically and mentally much improved, but empowered to face the vicissitudes that complex medical conditions have thrust upon them.
"Wonderful service"
