"Terrible administration"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

Husband had kidney removed due to cancer, follow up admin terrible, when post op appointment chased up, they had made it for 3 months ahead, instead of 3 weeks. Took 35 minutes waiting on phone to get through. Can't fault hospital care, but admin terrible.

We are sorry that your husband’s follow up appointments were not well managed; we would agree that his experiences were not of an appropriate standard and apologise for that. We will work with our administrative team to address such issues but in the meantime if any matter remains unresolved please do contact our Patient Relations Team on 0118 322 8338.

Update posted by A Rogers (a relative)

When I received the letter confirming my appointment to see the Urology consultant, the letter was for a meeting with the Anaesthetics team............seems yet again lack of attention to detail..........did they run out of letters from the urology team?
