"C section"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Maternity

I was admitted in July for an induction which resulted in a c section. I was contracting every few mins but was transferred to a ward and told would be a while and my husband could not stay, I was in a lot of pain and left to it until my waters went 3 hours later and baby was distressed so had emergency csection. Staff on labour ward were excellent, it was however the hottest day of the year and lack of fans was an issue also being dehydrated and given lukewarm water to drink. Afterwards on the ward the day staff were excellent, however the night staff were not interested in support, I was a first time mum in a lot of pain after section and was told by midwife to get on with it, would have made a difference if was offered support, was very glad to get home the following day.
