Not good
As a self pay patient no invoice was sent prior to procedure, calls to X-ray gave a rather woolly answer for a cost request. So looking up the going rate online in London clinics thought I had the ball park figure. First appointment I went to could not be completed since the dr injured them-self on the trolley ( I know, you couldn't make this up ) soonest subsequent appointment was a number of weeks later, so now we are 5-6 weeks since initial request for procedure. 2nd procedure was ok, I mean it didn't work as such but I accept that is the risk with medical procedures. A number of weeks later I received an excessive bill some 4 x my online researched rate. Obviously I disputed this, eventually it was acknowledged this was a mistake and bill reduced to now a mere 3x the going rate. My issue has been they do not send ( on some procedures ) any invoice prior to the procedure. Not only this but you are billed separately for the doctors time and the hospital costs, again unbelievably this is not mentioned before. Raising these points with accounts I will acknowledge they always replied courteously and promptly , but they did throw phrases back like 'it's the patients responsibility to find out about costs', to a point I can understand this but really, as a business you are treating your customers like this, very poor.
