"Trauma Unit and Surgical Day Case Unit"

To the staff, doctors and surgeons of both units, heartfelt thanks for your care and kindness during both visits I paid on Tuesday and today (Thursday).

I had my collarbone pinned and repaired in the Surgical Day Unit and am now at home recuperating.

Never have I come across a more friendly, helpful and informative bunch of people before.

Everything was explained in the most minute and informative detail and all my fears about an operation were allayed in a very short time (must mention this was my first ever operation in 45 years).

I am extremely grateful that I was allowed to join the list and have my operation so quickly and that it has gone so well.

I can now start the recovery process with complete peace of mind.

I look forward very much to my follow-up review in 3 weeks time and revisiting the hospital where I can see the people I can now count on as friends.
