I was discharged back to my GP from my orthopaedics consultant on 20 Oct 19 following an arthroscopy procedure which, to quote the physiotherapist at Bognor Memorial Hospital, was "the best arthroscopy outcome you are likely to see"! From the beginning of this process in the summer my progress involved my GP Practice, Bognor Memorial Hospital, and St Richards Orthopaedics Department. Along the way due to matters arising during my pre-Operation medical I also engaged with St Richards Urology and Imaging departments. At every stage I was dealt with in a totally professional and coordinated way and with kindness, consideration at all stages and timely information, thereby giving full reassurance, by all staff at all levels. Whilst I understand that individuals should not be mentioned, I must mention the staff manning the Day Surgery Unit whose efficiency, charming manner and shear presence was key to giving reassurance to all of us who were about to seen by their colleagues. From my experience at the higher levels of a large public organisation I recognise a well trained, dedicated and highly motivated workforce, especially one where there are always shortages, under-capacities and pressing demands. St Richards et al are some such and they all came through, in my experience recently, as outstanding.
I am truly grateful and impressed and would be grateful if my views could be passed on.
