"Amazing treatment from initial contact through..."

I experienced pains in my chest shortly after getting up on Sunday morning, as a result I rang 999, and within a short space of time I had a Paramedic checking me over. At that stage, I entered what felt like a well oiled and organised conveyor belt. After a short assessment in Whitehaven, I was transferred straight to Carlisle. Minutes after arrival I was under the care of the Consultant and their team, who immediately prepared/briefed/ advised me as to the situation. I had had a heart attack, and the immediate option was to have a stent fitted. This was done immediately. Following this I was then placed on the CCU ward into their care. 2 days later as my condition improved, I was moved onto the Willows C. The care and professionalism of all the staff at whatever level they may have been, at every stage, was amazing and cannot be faulted. I cannot extend my thanks enough to all of them. As the Consultant told me as they showed me the before and after photos of the implanting of the stent, I am now in a better position than I was before. I know the problem, I've had the intervention, and I'm now on the right drugs to prevent it happening again. Many thanks again.
