"Excellent"

About: Royal Orthopaedic Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I visited Ward 3 last week for the removal of a soft tissue tumour.

Living in Peterborough I was feeling anxious being so far away from my family, as well as having to undergo an operation.

I need not have worried.

From first booking in the day before my operation to leaving at the weekend I was looked after so well and treated like a friend.

The staff could not have been friendlier, my consultant, anaethetist, the nurses, the cleaners, the porters who took me down to theatre, everyone I saw over my 4 day stay, was so kind.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the night staff on duty on the day of my operation (13/10/16) as after coming back from theatre, due to the affects of the anaesthetic/drugs I was quite sick, making extra work for them.

The occupational therapy team arranged equipment to help me get around home and the physiotherapists helped me get to grips with my crutches!

A huge thank you to everyone that helped with my care....I cannot praise you enough.

Many thanks for your lovely feedback. I am so pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with us here in spite of going through what must be a difficult time for you. I have passed your comments onto the team on Ward 3.

With best wishes for your recovery

Sally Xerri-Brooks
