Following an appointment with the GP, I was asked to go to the Witney Hospital to do an X-Ray to my chest. I arrived in reception around 9am and was informed that I would need to come back as the service would not open until 10.30am. At 10am, when I got there, I realised patients are being given numbers for the waiting room.
As I ask again in reception, I get 'oh, I didn't realise your GP had requested the X-Ray'. But, it's what I said!
So, here I am with a number 10, when I should have been given a much shorter waiting time, given how soon I had arrived. Unbelievable! The member of staff makes a mistake and I pay for it! Unacceptable, no wonder patients are unhappy. We are people, not numbers!
This incident happened this morning, Thursday 6th of October.
