"Outstanding Care and Treatment on ENT ward"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

I was treated by the F9 staff on ENT having turned up at A and E with a concern that there was a piece of chicken/bone in my throat. I was assessed quickly, x rayed and seen by ENT Drs who transferred me to the F9 Ward. At all times I was treated with kindness and respect. I feel I was given very prompt attention and kept well informed of my treatment and assessment. The treatment I received was a Pharyngo-oesophagoscopy under general anaesthetic. The ward was busy so I was put in a private room which was spotless and was cleaned during my brief stay. I feel very confident that the medical attention I received was first class and would especially like to thank the Consultant and two particular nurses on F9. The NHS depends on such commitment to excellence from its wonderful staff and that is exactly what I witnessed this weekend!

Dear Ms Howells

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the NHS Choices Website. Your comments have been forwarded to the staff in the Emergency Department and Ward F9, who I know are always appreciative when patients, relatives or visitors take the time to let us know about their positive experience.

Thank you

Patient Experience Team
