I don't have much time so I'm making this short review to say that it's just generally a bad hospital, I wouldn't recommend going there, I'd recommend Royal Free Hospital or elsewhere, and I think it needs major issues resolving. One time we had to go there as an emergency because our under 18 month old randomly started having twitches and losing balance, so we went in and they made us stay overnight to do scans on him the next day, etcetera, but we waited for hours the next day and lost a whole day because they didn't scan him and released us and said they'll book it one day. The second case is recently when we finally got to the scan day for him, first of all, all the doors are open constantly in the Paediatric Daycare Unit department so we can't stop him from running around the corridors, rooms, and even the exit to the outside of the hospital in the public waiting room and in the patient only room, no door or gate or anything, secondly, two scans were booked in two days in a row, so they gave the first dose of sedation in attempt to get him to sleep but he doesn't go to sleep easily at all and fights to the end, they made us suffer for about 30 minutes until they decided to give him another dose, and then the next day we literally couldn't wake him up as he still had the sedation in his system, so we couldn't go and called up and told them, I asked about rescheduling it and they said that they don't do it over the phone, we'll receive a letter, so we're waiting for a letter not knowing if anyone's even booked it as there's no way of confirming it until, if we ever receive a letter, so I try calling them and the hospital's reception transfers me and I asked for the direct number and it doesn't work properly, their phone just keeps on cutting me off after their automated announcement, so it's like there's no way of finding out if an appointment has been booked. Just a ridiculously rubbish hospital, and needs serious reforming and improving to do. Oh and the way there was about a 32 inch LCD TV on the wall in the private patient room but it was off with no children's entertainment on like BBC CBeebies for example. And there isn't proper signal to a mobile network (O2) and so when you try using their WiFI, you realise that their WiFi signal doesn't work and reach properly to that department, great... In 2016, that's amazing. Also, this was meant to be a one or two sentence, "quick" review, but there's just too much. Oh, and about the sedation, it's not like they ask how easy or hard is it for the child to go to sleep, they should ask that 100%, it's just common sense. He keeps on going through trauma and so do we at the Northwick Park Hospital.
