I kept going to my doctors due to pain in my stomach/pelvis area. They kept saying 'it is your coil getting use to your body.. we can see the threads your fine' after going to the doctors numerous times with the same problem they decided to refer me for a transvaginal scan which may I add was a very painful procedure for me due to the pain I was already in. I had my scan and we found out my coil was embedded. Where it was meant to be a 'T' shaped it turnt its self and embedded. After the scan I was in unbearable pain and bleeding so I called '111' where they told me I'm to go to the hospital. I done as they said although I got turnt away by a member of staff on reception because ''nobody dealt with coils in the emergency department' After being turnt away and not even being offered being put on the system... I rung 111 back and explained to them where they said I should not of been refused.. after all the hassle I went back again on the Sunday early afternoon where this time I was allowed to be seen and I was sent upstairs to an emergency gyno/early pregnancy ward. I was seen and examined and the doctor herself could see the pain I was in.. It was decided I was to have the coil out. The surgeon came to remove it and it was one of the most painful things I have witnessed so far in my life.. To be told.. My coil was near enough falling out and because it had an embedment that is what kept it in. So ladies, if you ever suffer from pain and you know your not well don't stop until something is done.. we know our bodies, we know when we are not well.. And look at me, I was right all along I knew something was up.. and there was! May I add, this could of been solved a day earlier and not result me losing a day off work.
