"The Swift Ward in Treatment Centre nursing care ."

About: Lister Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Was admitted for hip replacement surgery. The Surgeon was very polite, efficient and professional. The same with the nurse sister very kind and patient. Please take not of the following:

According to the Physio and the note given before my husband surgery that he should be mobilized after 4 hours but this has not happened not until the following day when the physio came . There was this nurse in PACU keep on questioning me about my personal finances considering my condition.

There was this another PACU Nurse took over my care, came with the anesthetist to do a final check on me. As the anesthetist walked out the room my husband develop suddenly a cramping pain around the diaphragms, my husband quickly reported this to the nurse who became very rude and impolite. The nurse exclaimed that my husband should reported the pain when the Anesthetist present. When in fact the pain occurs when they left PACU. It seams that the nurse was inconvenience for further measures in his behalf. To witch he was compelled to apologize. I don't take so the nurse handed over my husband care over to the ward nurse as then they discovered behind his pillow was his IV infusion bag that have not been hung Oman IV stand.... In another occasion an agency care support worker, told them that that my husband was in severe pain ( level 7) and when the Sister kindly came to give his medication, the sister said they had not received no such message relating to his pain........................The surgeon is very pleasant , pleasant and a wonderful surgeon and we , our family was very grateful that the surgeon was able to do my husband surgery.
