"Made to feel like I was a time waster"

About: Furness General Hospital

I was seen 45mins late but was not informed of any delays when booking in with reception.

I was then called for my appoint with no apologies for them running late. Coming from a medical back ground I understand that running late can happen but patients should be kept informed of delays. The consultant then asked me why I was there. I started telling them my symptoms for them to stop me and asked again why I was there. I answered because the GP had referred me and started going through my symptoms again. They stopped me again and said why are you here that sounds like a bowl problem and not a GU problem. They then went on to tell me that GP have 6 weeks placements to help prevent them wrongly referring patients. Not sure why I was told this. I am still in pain and have new symptoms that I did not have before but I now feel I have no where to go after being spoke to in that manor. I have worked ina medical environment and have been part of the CQC process which is why I have felt the need to write this review
