I have booked appointment on 16th August 2016 at 17.30pm for HIV Screening and STD screening as I had symptoms via website called zysty.
Upon arrival to the clinic to the clinic the receptionist took my details at the reception was only one patient was there.
It was not long when I was called to see the nurse for my tests. They didn't even introduce themselves to me, acting as if they didn't want to see me.
They started by asking questions in a very intimidating tone, I felt so uncomfortable that I mumble to answer. I said I have some symptoms rush in my body and genital area. They immediately said they don’t deal with symptoms and I have booked non-symptoms appointment and they are only here to do regular test which will take up 2 weeks to get results.
I asked if they do “HIV finger prick test”, they said yes but they are not trained for that and only their doctor can do this test and the doctor can not see me today and they are busy with other patient.
I asked here if they can speak to the doctor and check my symptoms as I am very worried and my rush very painful. But the doctor refused to see me as they closing down in half in hour time and everybody want to go home. One nurse said when I was complaining they said NHS don't pay them enough money to do their job.
I was shocked that the nurse was not trained to do simple HIV finger prick test. Why would NHS employ such nurse ?
"Extremely unhelpful! Incompetent nurse."
