An infected sebaceous cyst was getting bigger and more sore despite a week's heavy duty anti-biotics but I was going on holiday the next day. So I felt I needed it to be looked at again. This is how the timings worked out approximately:
08. 00 called surgery
Before 09. 00 call back with appointment time
10. 35 appointment with a GP (Dr Holt) at Grange Park Surgery, Burley-in-Wharfedale who arranged for me to be seen at hospital
12. 15 Airedale Hospital Ward 14
13. 00 formal admission and over the next couple of hours visits from junior doctor (Haroon) and surgeon (Petros)
15. 45 cyst / abscess drained and packed
17. 00 discharged
All the staff were great and I could not have been treated with more kindness and care. So sorry I can't remember everyone's names. Maddie and all the other nurses and theatre team were brilliant. Everyone told me their name.
