"Fracture of Pelvis not spotted on the x-rays"

About: Eastern and Coastal Kent PCT William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I had a bad fall during Dec 2009. Landed on my right buttock/hip. Pain was tolerable until Boxing Day. Couldn't walk without a great deal of pain. Doc at WH A&E said nothing broken go see GP at next surgery. GP then sent me for x-ray. Result of x-ray was no breaks or fractures.

By Monday the 1st March pain was unbearable. Couldn't walk at all without support by husband & walking stick. GP sent me for another x-ray. Results came back the same. No breaks or fractures. Sent to Physio after 2 sessions physio referred me back to my GP, not happy to work on me. GP said go for MRI Scan. NHS could be a waiting list of 6 weeks. Paid to get it done privately at a cost of £6oo. REsult was a small fracture in the Pelvis.

QUESTION: Can blame be apportioned to x-ray dept for not finding the problem on the x-rays, which I think could have saved me £600 of which I would like to reclaim from NHS?
