"Not very impressed!"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I had been down treliske the evening before for reduce movement with my baby. I was treated lovely by the staff and was sent home nicely. However, the next day I had to return as I was sent down by my consultant for many reasons! When getting there and reading through my notes nobody had even picked up I was there the night before, surely that's what our pregnancy notes are for? There was hardly any staff working and a wing full of women. My care was rushed and I felt the midwife had no interest of what I was trying to explain to them. After waiting several hours to get a bed and to be seen to I was rudely told I need to go sit down somewhere else as they need to give my bed to someone else. Though out the whole time me and my partner were there, we felt unwelcome and as if they were just trying to get rid of us. When first getting to the hospital they knew we needed a scan as out consultant had rang to tell them but when I asked about it the midwife said 'no you won't be having one today as its friday and they all go home at 4 o'clock'. A few hours later the same midwife came to see us said everything is fine and sent me home without any medication etc. I was then sent back on the Sunday to find out I had an infection the whole time and nobody had given me anything to treat it! This is my first baby so I'm worried enough as it is but I expected to have more support and help then I received! Let hope when I'm actually in labour I receive better care. Not impressed.
