"Post Opp Care Left Me Depressed and Anxious"

I have been treated here back in 2010 and 2012 and 2009 and wanted to come here as I was treated fast, successful and the staff great.

I am under the doctor and they have been great but today, the pre opp nurse made me feel crap.

All went fine until the last bit when the nurse rushed through the blood pressure test instead of allowing me a moment or two to calm down.

I had just got dressed and needed a moment but the nurse made me nervous as I have been having some anxiety and blood pressure, but am on pills.

The readings at my own doctor and on my machine at home are consistent and within a level that they should compensate for, not the wild readings the nurse gets.

The machine was left on to take the reading four times and my arm turned blue.

When the machine took the reading first it Was 149/85 but the machine was left to keep going as the nurse was not paying attention but messing with their computer.

The reading shot to 223/113 as I was getting anxious about my arm going numb and blue.

The reading was not what my normal reading was and the nurse tried to do it manually, but it gets no reading at all.

The nurse said with this I cannot have the operation so now I am upset and the nurse does not wait but has another go.

The reading is 179/90.

I am now very upset and anxious and the nurse is talking about cancelling the operation.

I need this operation.

I was told to phone with some other readings the week of operation.

I am reading tonight and it was down to 159/85.

This is more consistent.

The blood pressure pills make me feel like a zombie and ill.

I don't want to take them.

I have changed my diet, don't smoke, exercise, dont drink and have lost weight as I want this operation.

I have operation three weeks but am so anxious now that I just know my blood pressure will be put up again on the day and I will not have opp.

What is the point?

I now feel anxious and depressed thanks to this experience.

I have no quality of life and now you refuse to give me back my mobility so you are treating me like crap.

I want this operation.

This nurse has no right to do this.

Their machine was wrong.

I have never had any problems with the operations before.

I am very upset and disappointed.
