I was admitted into hospital with pancreatitis and jaundice. All of it was very frightening and overwhelming. The best case scenario was that it was caused by gallstones. Thankfully it was, and one of the blighters had got stuck in my bile duct. I am a professional and usually very level headed. But in a situation like this it was all very scary. Sister Jacqueline was an absolute star. She explained everything to me and the level of care she provided was outstanding.
I like to be in control and in a situation like this it is difficult to just lie there with a drip hanging out of you. I totally trusted her with my well being, which says a lot! She is everything a Sister and a Nurse should be. She is amazing! ! And had a fan club on my ward. We were all highly excited when we knew it was her shift. Well done Sister Jacqueline! !
"Well done Sister Jacqueline!"
