Further to a shoulder op in feb 2016 and a subsequent infection that saw me seen by an out of hours clinic, my GP 3 times (who had a big major part in saving me as well) and a birmingham hospital consultant twice (who was rubbish if not negligent), i was sent to this hospital at the request of my GP due to their absolute frustration at another hospital consultants' refusal to treat my infection with IV antibiotics. The emergengy department was busy but the staff were caring and sympathetic to my needs and situation. After 4 hours i was admitted and put onto an IV for 72 hrs. This saved my arm and me!! Whilst in the hospital i was kept informed about my treatment and how my arm was doing. The A&E doc that admitted me even stayed over after their shift to see me with the ortho team. I can only say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the staff involved in my care.
"Saved me after an infection from another hospital."
