I attended the Colposcopy clinic at Wishaw General recently and wanted to compliment the wonderful staff. From the staff member who greeted me at reception, right through to all the staff who spoke with me (even walked by me) and particularly the three members of staff who were in attendance at my appointment (two excellent female doctors and a warm female nurse); I was treated with kindness and reassurance. I was nervous about the procedure and they took time to explain things to me, held my hand and gave me the opportunity to have my say. I really felt this was an excellent example of patient centred care and think it's important to let the staff know how much I appreciated this. I am terrible with names but I believe one of the doctors may have been called Frances. Apologies ladies at my terrible memory but I very much appreciated your care and compassion today in what is a very intimate procedure.
"caring and compassionate staff"
