"To be honest, nothing. PALS were ..."

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

To be honest, nothing. PALS were very helpful and listened well to my complaint after being turned away initially, however they could still not get past the red tape bureaucracy.

What could be improved

A smile from the staff, especially the nurse, an interest in helping my condition and listening to my ailments. Some communication between staff would have eased my waiting time. Communication of some sort regarding the waiting time would have been nice, rather than a shrug.

Anything else?

The waiting room was freezing cold, draughty, noisy from the 'improvement' work going on, cramped and totally disorganised, the staff (doctors and reception) seemed more interested in chatting to the workmen than communicating with the patients.
