About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

This was my very first visit to the New QE II and the Urgent Care Centre.

Very clean and professional looking.

But I was amazed that the staff from the Reception to the Assessment Nurse and the end Nurse looked very unhappy to be working in such wonderful surroundings. Not a smile nor greeting.

The queue to the Assessment runs across the hallway obstructing any access to the fantastic telephone service available to call a taxi or any other service.

Being third in the queue I found it quite difficult to be standing until my turn.

This queue makes it difficult for patients to go through to the consulting rooms when called.

The Doctor who treated me was very professional friendly and for this a big thank you.

A smile goes a long way and it does not cost anything.

Thank you UCC

Thank you for this very useful feedback - you're right, a smile costs nothing.

We'll feed your comments back to the team and in the meantime, we do hope (and for all the right reasons, of course!) that you have no need to use the urgent care centre again any time soon.
