Visited A&E on the the 8th May due to bleeding as I was newly pregnant. Told by the EPU that I was going through a incomplete miscarriage and then told to return in a weeks time as a walkin to the EPU again to check how far the miscarriage had gone. If not traumatic enough I was then referred to have the surgical procedure to remove the left over product. That didn't happen and i was inspected with a speculum and told that "all the large pieces of product has been removed". I continued to bleed heavy for another two weeks as was told to follow up then. I attended A&E again due to the bleeding and told I will have to sit and wait at EPU the next day as there closed. Arrived at EPU the next day at 9.30am to be told at 12.30pm that I will still need to wait for the 10 people in front of me. An explanation of the traumatic experience of seeing happily pregnant women and the pain and heavy bleeding didn't thaw there clod hearts exspecially a receptionist who obviously didn't notice that I saw them say "So" and "she will still have to wait ". I will be proceeding with further complaints about the staff and experience I have faced here as KCH has failed the care and compassion that the CQC looks for.
