I arrived at this hospital on 23 May 2016 at 11:30am in the process of inducement / induction of my baby on the 3rd floor maternity ward.
After arriving here we been given a bed, after waiting nearly 3 hours we then was seen by the midwife. I found that this ward was completely worn out and needed a complete makeover. I found that alcohol gel next to the bed and my surroundings to be empty and this was my 3rd day in hospital and its still empty.
When I'm in pain and I press the call button, next to the bed for assistance I see that it take up to 15-20 minutes to be seen. I was worried, what would happen if there was a emergency.
The porter who delivers food, breakfast, lunch and dinner I found to be extremely rude. They came and dropped the food on the table and walked away. I asked where was the starter, e.g. soup which I asked in advance, I was told the soup has run out and was not offer any other option.
I have since seen women who arrived after me on the same day been taking into the Labour room and I was thinking when will I be going there because I been here over 3 days. I felt like I was being ignored or being abandoned or other women was being prioritized because someone see us once every 5 hours.
And another thing was the reception lost my medical notes which I handed in to receptionist when I first arrived to the hospital. I was asked if I had them after the 3 day in hospital.
I was little upset and I felt like asking for a refund for 20 years on contributing to the NHS through national insurance contributions, which I know is not possible.
