"Fantastic care and had fun on the ward"

Having chest pains my husband called 999 as he was very concerned about me. The paramedics were absolutely wonderful, they gave me a thorough check and decided that I should be taken to Lincoln hospital as they thought I may have had a couple of minor heart attacks.

I was taken to one ward first while they assessed me, I was treated like royalty. They really looked after me right up to when I was transferred to Dixon Ward.

Here, all the staff were marvelous, they were all happy from the cleaners to doctors. They were all really kind and gentle, they treated us all exactly the same regardless of our backgrounds, at least this is what I observed.

I am just 6 stones and my skin is very thin. Following an earlier treatment there was a scab on my leg that needed to be treated. The nurses on Dixon ward treated this and were as gentle with me as if I was a baby.

I never expected I would say this but we had such fun on the ward. A couple of patients had birthdays, the nurses involved everyone in the celebrations. I think that summed up the level of care.
