I just want to express my gratitude in the experience I had yesterday visiting the MRI dept. at Grimsby hospital.
After already having an MRI 5yrs ago at a private hospital, I already new what to expect. To put it bluntly I wasn't looking forward to it at all.
I arrived in plenty of time, but when I checked in I was told that the mobile MRI scanner that I was booked on had broken down earlier on in the day. I had been left a message but sadly I didn't get it until I got home.
The receptionist was extremely helpful and understanding and had a word with the main MRI radiographers who kindly said they would squeeze me in
Bearing in mind that they were extremely busy.
I waited for around an hour and a half, which I was happy to do, as there was no way I was returning to go through all the sykeing myself up again.
Both the radiographers were extremely thorough at explaining everything to me as they could tell I wasn't happy about the whole thing. They told me exactly how long it was going to take and that I could get out at anytime.
One of the radiographers even stayed with me throughout the whole thing. I couldn't have got through it without him.
All in all, it was a whole better experience than I'd had previously at a private hospital.
100% praise for the NHS staff involved in my experience.
I'd even go to say, I'd be happy to go through it again if I ever had to.
But fingers crossed, I won't need to.
Many thanks once again.
