I visited A&E on 5 March 2016.
I had been suffering from a virus for weeks. I had seen four Practice Nurses at my GP Practice but no GP.
I had been given a course of antibiotics but was still left with a cough, chest wheeziness and congestion.
I had never suffered with anything like this before.
After another sleepless night my husband took me to A&E.
I was treated with the greatest respect.
I am used to being 'talked down to'.
This is especially so at my age of 76.
Not this time though.
All the Team worked well, they were polite and caring.
Most of all though was the young Doctor who could see I was worried and therefore arranged for a chest X-Ray and blood tests.
All the results were clear thankfully but they had put my mind at ease.
They had listened when I told them I was concerned due to losing my father and brother from lung cancer in their fifties.
I did gradually get better but it took a full eight weeks in the end.
Thanks A&E Team.
"My treatment by A&E staff was very good this time"
