I have nothing but praise for the NHS and count myself very lucky to have been born in the UK! But my experience at SAL was a revelation as to just how wonderful the NHS can be. I was just one patient in a busy schedule of surgery... but it never felt like that. I knew I was being cared for and in safe hands all the way through my stay. Its pretty scary having your neck cut open while you're still awake but the professionalism, skill and compassion of everyone involved in my surgery and after-care made it so much easier to cope with. So... thank you!
