"Lateness of Rheumatology outpatient clinic"

About: St Albans City Hospital

I had an appointment last Thursday morning at 9am. The doctor arrived at 9.45am to start their clinic, there was one patient before me. This isn't the first time the doctor has run late.

I can fully understand if there was an emergency but the thing that makes me most annoyed is that there was no explanation and no apology.

Common decency should be that patients should at least receive an apology from the consultant.

Also, I was referred for physiotherapy at my last appointment 6 months ago and still hadn't received an appointment.

I went up to the Physio department whilst there to chase this up and it had gone to HHGH in error, who had then not booked anything for me.

I have now booked an appointment at SACH.

I came away from my appointment last week not at all satisfied with the service.

The HCA's did their best to apologise for the lateness of the consultant but it was obviously beyond their control and they didn't know what was going on either.
