What I liked
i spent 3 days in ward 19, with a complete blockage after a prostrate biopsy.
the nursing staff were wonderful, helpful, considerate and hard working. it was almost like being in a 5 star hotel.
although the only visit from a doctor proved to be impersonal off hand and uninformative, the rest of the staff were very helpful kind and instructive and really knew how to treat my problem with skill and understanding.
What could be improved
The biopsy was half way through when the doctor broke off to take a phone call and took the full call without stopping or telling them to ring back. Thus my biopsy was stopped half way through and this was very alarming to me. Whilst i do not know if that preventable delay during the biopsy caused the following blockage but it certainly would not havd helped the situation.
Anything else?
It is about time the hospital had sufficient visitor parking. Some years ago a large public car park was removed from public use and reserved for staff. A new prk should have been made .
