What I liked

A/E on boxing day was busy however i was treated promtly and well; the consultant was particularly good and kept me informed throughout (broken wrist). The orthopaedic team were also excellent both in the run up to, during and after my operation (ORIF)many thanks to them.My stay of 24hrs on ward 17 was on the whole reasonable the day staff and health care assistants were caring and considerate both to me and other patients on the ward many of which were elderly.

What could be improved

My overnight stay on ward 17 was less pleasant.Requests by elderly patients were ignored and I personally found the nurse in charge to be both rude and sullen when speaking to myself.

Anything else?

Overall a very positive experience let down only by the night staff on ward 17 and the reception team on the desk at the main x ray dept today february 9th 2010
