"as useful as a chocolate tea pot"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I suffer with fibromyalgia and was hopeful that my appointment would be helpful in giving me ways of dealing with pain. My appointment lasted less than 15 minutes and the main advice was that since hydrotherapy is good I could sign up for aqua aerobics at my local pool, I shouldn't worry since fibromyalgia isn't a problem and that I should go home and research my condition. The consultant did not listen to me and seemed to want me out of the office as soon as possible. I left the pain management clinic feeling worse about my condition than before.
