"Fundoplication surgery"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I recently had the fundoplication surgery as I had awful acid reflux which was causing problems. I arrived for my surgery at 7am on the sssu and was greeted by lovely nurses who talked me through everything that would happen that day, I was seen quickly by the anesthetic doctor and my surgeon who put me totally as ease. I was first on the theatre list so no waiting and worrying. This was the first operation I've had that I've recovered from really well and I'd put it done to the skill of the surgeon, also I was very worried about being sick and the anesthetic doctor did everything to make sure I wasn't, the staff on sssu was all lovely they couldn't do enough I would definitely recommend staying on the ward and the doctors who have totally changed my life I'm no longer being sick and I'm totally tablet free for the first time in 5 years. To everyone who helped me thankyou so much.

Thank you for your comments which I have shared with the surgical and anaesthetic teams.

I am pleased to hear that your surgery went well and that you have fully recovered.

Kind regards
