About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

My 30 year old son started losing his eyesight in one of his eyes so he has been to see a consultant in Eastbourne District General Hospital and after numerous tests he was referred to Hayward's Heath Hospital for a lumber puncture test which he had to wait a long time to get the appointment but eventually had this test done last December.

It has been about 4 months since he has had this test done but his consultant still has not received the result, in the meantime his eyesight has got worse, Jamie phoned the Hayward's Heath Hospital was told rudely that they are busy and they will send the result when they are ready.

We do not have the money to go private and are at our wits end as to what to do.

I am really sorry to hear about your son's experience of the unacceptable delay and of the rudeness from the staff at Princess Royal Hospital. I have contacted the managers for this service and asked them to look into this immediately. Jamie could also contact PALS on 01444 448678 or PALS@bsuh.nhs.uk and they will be able to help him find out what is happening.
