"nothing"

About: James Paget University Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

nothing

What could be improved

We were called to the hospital as my father had taken ill after a recent operation, we travelled from one end of the country to the other, were told nothing about his care or prognosis, we were treated like children ushered into a room & left, & when he suddenly passed away we were ignored, it has left us confused & extremely hurt, we had no idea what he had died of til the death certificate, we witnessed healthcares entering & leaving his room without washing or gelling their hands, handling him in front of family members with no thought for his dignity, i hope no one else has to go through this ordeal, its hard enough losing a loved one but to be treated as if you dont exist and not to be worthy of an explanation is beyond belief.

Anything else?

I work in a public sector healthcare setting & understand the pressure & demands of the job & that is what made this all the more hurtfull, to know that on the other side of the coin we could be treated so badly by the very establishment we represent.
