"Well done Bromley School Nurses"

About: Bromley Healthcare / School Nursing

(as a student nurse),

I have had exposure to a PSHE training session delivered to secondary school students today and it was excellent.

One of the children (post a domestic violence session) disclosed that she had been sexually abused for 2.5 years and only realised post the DV session that she had been abused.

This child has now got support in place for her mental health issues post her abuse.

Well done to Bromley School Nurses! ! ! !

Thank you for your posting.

I am so pleased that the school nurses have been able to elicit such an important issue from a vulnerable young person.

Your posting clearly demonstrates the value of school nurses within schools. One never knows when a session will uncover such an issue. This can never be factored into the true value of the service.

Kind regards

Amanda
