"my son had tooth removed due to abscess"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

From the moment we were admitted to the channel day department I knew we were in safe hands. We were treated with respect and were made to feel comfortable and kept up to date with regards to times and what was going to happen during the day. Special thanks to the staff who really went out of their way to look after everyone, they went beyond expectations and are a credit to our NHS. Also to the dentist who performed the removal, who made everything clear and calmed us prior to the procedure without even knowing it. I was not worried about leaving my son in their care and cannot thank them enough. My son is only 6, as horrible as it is going through a general anaesthetic it was such a positive experience. Fantastic staff who made our stay so much easier than expected. If you are lucky enough to be looked after by such lovely people, I know you too will understand these people are in the right profession.

I am sorry to learn that your son had to have a tooth removed due to an abscess (the Tooth Fairy will be busy!), however, I am so glad to hear that the staff both informed and reassured you and your son.

I hope he is beginning to feel a lot better now - an absecess can be very unpleasant.
