"Excellent care provision in Adult Day Surgery Unit"

I was referred by GP to ADSU over the phone re an abscess on Friday 26th Feb and a surgical registrar contacted me within a few hours asking me to come in the following day morning (today) for the procedure. A team of doctors and nurses came round within an hour,surgery carried out under GA by 11am allowing me to be picked up by family by 1pm after making sure that I was fit for discharge with plenty of useful advice re post operative care and a supply of dressings etc which my wife (a senior nurse herself) could use for me without having to burden the district nurse at my request. All staff were very professional,friendly and supportive working as a well organised team. I felt very comfortable and reassured in their hands. Having spent longer on the Day ward after surgery and 100% satisfied with the care,two people spring to my mind.

The Matron and staff nurse, I would like to say a "Big Thank You" ! All staff I met today deserve special praise for service par excellence !

The only thing I could suggest is perhaps some reading material newspapers,magazines while waiting to go home as I was a bit bored not having taken my mobile with me!
