After several fall at home we called 999 for my elderly nan. After few hours the ambulance turned up. Crew were very apologetic and we're absolutely fantastic with nan. Arriving at a&e I could see why the ambulance was delayed as a&e were at full capacity and crew had to keep their patients on board their ambulances. Nan was taken straight through as she was quite poorly. The a&e staff were all brilliant. nan was then taken to resus where again staff were fantastic. My only complaint is towards the selfish patients that were there shouting and causing problems. There was very sick people there the staff was over worked trying to treat/care for people but had to take time out to deal with these horrible selfish people. Nan was eventually taken to ward b6 winter beds where again she received exceptional care. Sadly nan passed away but she did so with respect, dignity and pain free thanks to all the staff that was involved in her care.
